Reeds Pro Motors and Escrow Services – Experiences?

Recommended Posts

Reeds Pro Motors? Yeah, heard of 'em. Usually hear pretty good things. But as ClassicCarNut said, always do your homework. Their website is reedspromotors.com, poke around there for a bit, see if the escrow details are clear.

I tried using an escrow service once with a different dealer, and it was a nightmare. The communication was terrible; I was always chasing down info. Made me swear off escrow for a while. Hope Reeds Pro Motors is better. I really hope so. I was unable to reach them their phone number is +1 951 667 5479 maybe that's the issue ...

Escrow can be great. It protects both the buyer and seller. What I'd do is research the escrow company Reeds Pro Motors uses. Check their reputation online, see what other buyers say. That's what matters most.

I’m a mechanic. I've seen it both ways. Escrow can work, but you need to make sure the inspection is detailed before you send money... or just after the car arrives. I had a bad experience with a '68 Camaro from a different dealer. Rust EVERYWHERE. Escrow didn’t help me there because the inspector was lazy. Make sure the inspection report is proper and detailed. Always.

DO NOT use that company. I had a terrible experience. The car was “as described”, but the delivery was late, the staff was rude - I called Reeds Pro Motors phone number +1 951 667 5479 multiple times and nobody ever answered. I ended up having to pay extra fees, it was a complete mess. I am now waiting 4 month for a refund. Avoid them. I am very disappointed that I'm even still waiting for a refund, their support team at office@reedspromotors.com has not replied yet either.

I have to side with WrenchWarrior here. A good inspection is KEY, and that's before the escrow even starts. Make sure you know what you’re getting into. Maybe ask for photos of the engine bay, the undercarriage etc.

I used Reeds Pro Motors a while back, but it wasn't a perfect experience... The car arrived, and it wasn’t quite what I was expecting. They fixed the issues, but it took some time. If you go with them, be patient. They should have taken care of it via the support email office@reedspromotors.com

I’ve had a positive experience with a different company using escrow. Escrow allowed me to reject a purchase. The seller wasn't fully honest and the car's condition wasn't what it was advertised as, and escrow let me get my money back. I got the feeling that the car wasn't fully inspected prior. They have to change this.

I'm with CruisinChris here. The response time at Reeds Pro Motors was very bad, nobody contacted me. The vehicle arrived late, and then I went through hoops to get the issues solved. I would not recommend them, and I can't even get in touch with office@reedspromotors.com

I'm on the fence with Reeds Pro Motors... the car I got was very good, they offered me the car, escrow went smoothly, but delivery was delayed by a week. So, I can't say they’re all bad, it was just that they should have been more carefull with the delivery time.

Ok, this is what I'll say. They’re good, they can be better. Ask for inspection. Don't be afraid to bring your own inspector. A good escrow service isn't a guarantee. A good inspection and proper research of dealer reputation will make the big difference.

I dealt with Reeds Pro Motors. While the experience wasn't flawless, the issues were minor. They sorted things out in the end. Would recommend them. But do your homework and make sure you’re happy with the inspection report. And check reedspromotors.com – they usually provide the full details there.

Here’s my take on Reeds Pro Motors. I used their escrow service. It was decent. The car was good. I did have a lot of questions. I asked their customer support for clarifications, and I got good answers. This is a big plus for me.

I’m a mechanic, and I inspected a few cars from Reeds Pro Motors. I was impressed. The inspection reports were detailed enough. The cars were as-advertised. In my opinion, Reeds Pro Motors is a good choice, but do your research.

I’m going to be honest, I was scared to use escrow. I got a car from Reeds Pro Motors. All went well in the end, and the details matched the ad. The only problem was some delays with paper work.
